The lotion pump does not dispense liquid evenly? How can I adjust it to make it smoother?

Update:12 Aug 2024

1. Influence of emulsion characteristics
Instability of viscosity: The viscosity of the emulsion is greatly affected by environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. If the viscosity fluctuates too much, the Lotion pump will pulsate during the delivery process, resulting in uneven liquid discharge.
Uneven distribution of particle size: The size and distribution of particles in the emulsion directly affect its fluidity. Particles that are too large or unevenly distributed are prone to block the pump tube or pump head, resulting in poor liquid discharge.
Unstable emulsifier performance: The quality and dosage of the emulsifier directly affect the stability of the emulsion. If the emulsifier performance is poor, the emulsion is prone to stratification or demulsification, resulting in poor pump delivery effect.
Solution:
Strictly control the production process: Use a constant temperature and humidity production environment, and strictly control parameters such as temperature and stirring speed during the emulsification process.
Optimize the formula: Select a suitable emulsifier, adjust the dosage of the emulsifier, and improve the stability of the emulsion.
Pre-treat the emulsion: Pre-treat the emulsion, such as filtration, centrifugation, etc., to remove impurities and large particles and improve the purity of the emulsion.

2. Pump structure problem
Pump head wear: The pump head is in contact with the emulsion for a long time, which is prone to wear, resulting in poor sealing and reduced liquid output.
Aging of the sealing ring: The sealing ring is in working condition for a long time, which is prone to aging and hardening, losing elasticity and causing leakage.
Valve failure: Valve jamming, wear or poor sealing will affect the flow of liquid.
Solution:
Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly check the wear of pump heads, sealing rings, valves and other parts, and replace worn parts in time.
Select corrosion-resistant materials: The materials of pump heads and sealing rings should have good corrosion resistance to extend service life.
Optimize pump body design: Select a pump body with a reasonable structure and easy maintenance to reduce the occurrence of failures.

3. Influence of operating conditions
Improper pump speed setting: Too fast or too slow pump speed will affect the liquid output effect. Too fast pump speed is prone to cavitation, and too slow pump speed will result in insufficient liquid output.
Suction line leakage: Suction line leakage will cause insufficient negative pressure in the pump, affecting the suction capacity.
Discharge pipeline resistance is too large: Too many bends in the discharge pipeline, too small diameter or blockages will increase flow resistance and affect the discharge.
Solution:
Reasonable pump speed setting: Select the appropriate pump speed according to the viscosity and flow requirements of the emulsion.
Check the pipeline system: Check the pipeline system regularly to ensure that the pipeline is tightly connected and leak-free.
Clean the pipeline: Clean the blockage in the pipeline regularly to keep the pipeline unobstructed.

4. Other factors
Emulsion temperature: Too high or too low emulsion temperature will affect its viscosity, thereby affecting the pump's delivery effect.
Ambient temperature: Ambient temperature changes will affect the performance of the pump, especially for precision instruments.
Power supply voltage fluctuations: Power supply voltage fluctuations will affect the motor speed, and then affect the pump's discharge volume.
Solution:
Control the ambient temperature: Place the emulsion pump in a constant temperature environment to avoid excessive temperature fluctuations.
Stabilize the power supply: Use a voltage-stabilized power supply to ensure that the power supply voltage is stable.
