Rubber Rings Factory introduces the precautions for installing seals:
1. Do not damage the sealing surface or sealing line on the surface of the seal
The sealing performance of flat seals depends on the upper and lower end faces; the sealing performance of hydraulic seals depends on the lip line associated with the hole or shaft. These parts are made of soft and resilient temperature, corrosion, and aging resistance. Graphite, rubber, plastic, fiber, and other special materials that are easily damaged require special protection and care during handling, installation, and storage. Once damaged, it will often leave a lot of hidden dangers to the sealed part.
2. Do not install by force
Some seals are placed in a trough-shaped stuffing box. At this time, they need to be installed tightly. Do not be rough or brutal during construction. Forced installation with a lot of action will destroy the original precast structure of the seal, which is like breaking the precast concrete. Filling in the required parts will inevitably lead to disasters. The installation of such seals must be very careful and careful, and the embedding must be carried out step by step.
3. Pay attention to balance and symmetry during installation
Place the seal at a position that is just close to the effective sealing surface (or lip line). After the system is opened and used, further observation and after-care work of tightening the seals are needed to prevent the system from breaking due to micro-leakage due to changes in working conditions (such as pressurization) during system operation.
